Morrisonite Jasper – Double-Sided Polished Specimen

A large and distinctive specimen of Morrisonite Jasper from southeastern Oregon, displaying an unusual palette of deep forest green, burgundy, brick red, rust and earthy olive. Fracture-like lines and small mineral inclusions run throughout the stone, giving both faces a complex, almost abstract appearance.

Polished on both sides, with each face revealing a dramatically different arrangement of color and pattern. Portions of the natural rind remain around the perimeter, preserving some of the character of the original rough.

Morrisonite is among the most collectible American jaspers, with the original material no longer commercially mined and quality old-stock pieces becoming increasingly scarce.
