Brushfire Jasper is a distinctive and relatively uncommon jasper from southeastern Oregon, an area renowned for producing some of North America’s finest collectible lapidary materials.

Origin and Character

Location: Southeastern Oregon, USA.

Color: Typically features warm desert tones of peach, salmon, cream and golden yellow contrasted by cool gray, blue-gray and occasional burgundy or red accents.

Pattern: Known for flowing, painterly patterns that can resemble smoke, clouds and distant landscapes. Some material also contains small crystalline or druzy-filled areas that add texture and visual interest.

Appearance: Brushfire Jasper can vary considerably from piece to piece, with some showing bold color divisions and others displaying softer, almost watercolor-like transitions.

Collectibility: Produced in relatively limited quantities compared with better-known Oregon jaspers, making well-patterned and colorful examples particularly appealing to collectors and lapidary artists.

Each cabochon is individually hand cut and polished in our studio from natural material — never mass-produced or imported finished stones.
