Morrisonite Jasper – Double-Sided Polished Specimen

A beautiful piece of Morrisonite Jasper from southeastern Oregon, one of the most highly prized and collectible American jaspers. This specimen displays an unusual combination of smoky blue-gray, cream, deep red and burgundy, with sweeping bands and abstract patterns running through the stone.

Polished on both sides, each face reveals a distinctly different composition and color balance. Portions of the natural exterior have been preserved along the edges, giving the piece a nice connection to the original rough.

Morrisonite has not been commercially mined for decades, making quality old-stock material increasingly sought after by collectors.
