River Jasper

River Jasper is a naturally patterned jasper prized for its wide variety of colors, markings, and organic formations. Depending on the individual piece, it can display everything from flowing bands and abstract landscapes to orbicular patterns, contrasting veins, and dramatic pockets of color.

Formed through complex geological processes involving silica-rich material and mineral inclusions, its varied coloration comes from different minerals present during formation. No two pieces are quite alike, making River Jasper especially appealing for one-of-a-kind jewelry and lapidary work.

Each of our River Jasper cabochons is individually hand-cut and polished in our studio, with the shape and orientation chosen to highlight the natural pattern, color, and character of the stone.
